But how often should your instruments be calibrated?
The best answer is: it depends. Every device’s performance will naturally degrade over time, even after an accurate calibration, but some degrade faster than others. For many instruments, yearly calibrations are enough. For other instruments in need of more absolute precision, 3-month calibrations are the standard.
