Hot Runner Temperature Control Systems

Hot Runner, Temperature, Control, SystemsHot runner temperature control systems modules from Heaters Controls and Sensors Ltd., for the plastics processing industry are fully automatic PID controllers with on board diagnostics for Open, Shorted, or Reversed thermocouple.Hot runner temperature control systems also features LED’s for under temperature or over temperature indication, Heat load on/off, Ramp start, and Open or closed loop operation. The display can also be set for set point or process temperature indication and a +/- 3 degree indicator flashes when process temperature is within 3 degrees of setpoint.Hot runner temperature control systems modules are also designed for full communication capability with alarm and standby module.

Plastic Thermocouples are available for hot runners
injection molding machines and extruders.
Plastic Thermocouples are made of 301 stainless and use a tube and wire construction utilizing
stranded thermocouple cable through out the probe.
Plastic Thermocouples are available with various types of leads like Hi temp fiberglass, PVC, SS
Braided fiberglass or with Stainless Steel flexible armour cable. Plastic thermocouples are
normally rated for low temperature ranges up to a thousand degrees F, however the same
construction could be used for higher temperatures.
Plastic Thermocouples are also available in metric dimensions for all designs that are required.

Heated hose is made with quality Teflon hose components that are FDA and CSA approved. Heated hose has a smooth Teflon core which is heated electrically.

Drum heaters are a used to control temperatures on a variety of pails or drums where maintaining fluid viscosity is important. Drum Heaters provide uniform heat and prevent scorching or degradation of sensitive materials.

Formed tubular heating elements provide an economical, robust, and versatile heat source. These elements are commonly used to fit into milled grooves for hot runner molding systems. The precision fit optimizes heat transfer to the working surface. At HCS we can provide formed elements that are ready to go into your existing channel or new tool design.

Radiant Heaters are always a sound choice and are capable of transmitting radiant energy from low to medium wavelengths. Radiant Heaters are available in a variety of constructions including hard ceramics, quartz, and tubular elements with reflectors.

Flexible rubber heaters are lightweight, ultra-thin, water and ozone resistant. These heaters were designed for the aerospace and aeronautical industry. Flexible rubber heaters are available in a variety of insulating materials and can be manufactured with wire wound or etched foil.

Mica strip heaters are available in a number of constructions depending on the material to be heated and the application. Sheath temperatures are typically 700°F to 1400°F, depending on construction, watt density, sheath material, and type of insulation used.
